Cookies and local storage

Version v2-2026-10 · Effective from: 12 Oct 2026

This is an English translation for convenience. The Czech version is legally binding; in case of any discrepancy, the Czech version prevails. Česká verze

This website does not use any cookies. It writes to the browser storage only technically necessary items, which are described below. It has no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Everything it stores falls within the exemption from consent (Section 89(3) of the Act on Electronic Communications), which is why you will not find a consent banner here — it is not needed.

This website

The website is a static page. It does not load scripts or styles from foreign servers; the font is downloaded from our server. A visit generates the usual operating logs of the web server — they are described in the Privacy Policy — and one technical item in the browser:

ItemWherePurposeTypeDuration
evikom-uvod sessionStorage remembers that you have already seen the intro animation in this tab, so that it does not play again when the page is reloaded necessary (functional) until the tab is closed; not sent anywhere

If you fill in the contact form, the data entered goes directly to our server (details are in the Privacy Policy). We use no external service for forms and the form stores nothing in the browser.

If the website contains a link to a Google Forms questionnaire, it is a link, not an embedded window. Until you click it, no request goes to Google and nothing is stored in your browser. After clicking, you leave our website and Google’s terms apply. We then process your answers as the controller on the basis of our legitimate interest in preparing an offer, to which you may object (details are in the privacy policy).

The customer system and the demo

The application itself, which customers and their staff use, and its public demo need the items described below in order to work. All of them are technically necessary or functional (they remember your choice), none serves tracking, and none goes anywhere other than to our server; choices (colour, location) and demo data are not sent to our server at all, while the tablet key and the queue of entries are sent only to our server (at login and when the entries are submitted, respectively).

Login cookie

NamePurposeTypeDuration
pult_session keeping you logged in necessary 14 days from the last activity; on a tablet 12 hours; until logout

This is a first-party cookie set by our server at login. It is marked HttpOnly — no script in the browser can read it — and SameSite=Lax, so it is not sent when arriving from another website. In operation over HTTPS it also has the Secure flag and is not transmitted unencrypted. It contains only a random session identifier; only a one-way hash of it is stored in the database.

Local storage on the tablet

ItemPurposeType
pult.device.v1 identifier and access key of the paired tablet, so that it does not have to be paired again with a code every time necessary
pult.tapQueue.v1 queue of entries made without a connection; it is sent as soon as the internet is back and then emptied necessary
pult.pos.location.* (localStorage) the premises where the tablet at the till stands, so that it does not have to be selected at every start functional
evikom.akcent.v1 (localStorage) the accent colour of the interface that you chose functional (user’s choice)

The items in the tables above stay on the device. The paired tablet’s key disappears when the device is unpaired in the application or when the browser data is cleared. The entry queue is deleted by itself after successful sending.

Demo (browser session)

ItemPurposeType
pult.demo.v1 (sessionStorage) which demo company and role you chose in the demo; it disappears when the tab is closed functional
pult.startup.v1 (sessionStorage) the changes you make in the “Stopa” demo (tickets, menu); only in the browser, they do not go to the server, they disappear when the tab is closed functional

If you clear the browser data on the tablet before the queue is sent, entries not yet sent are irretrievably lost. The tablet then also has to be paired again with a code.

Why there is no consent banner

Consent to storing data on a device is not required for items that are technically necessary for a service that the user has requested — see Section 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on Electronic Communications. All the items described above fall within this exemption: without the login cookie one could not log in, without the device key the tablet would have to be paired after every start, without the queue the entries made during a network outage would be lost, and the other items merely retain a choice that you made yourself (premises, colour, selection in the demo, playing of the intro animation). None of them serves analytics, advertising or tracking. Consent is therefore not required and a cookie banner is not needed.

Should we ever add analytics or anything else that is not technically necessary, we will add a consent banner and the option to choose here — and this document will change before it is switched on.
